When it comes to storytelling with data things don't always have to be so serious. It's often the wonderful insights, the connections, between things that really grab peoples attention. Take, for instance the time someone discovered a link, between ice cream sales and shark attacks. It's a yarn. It also happens to illustrate the danger of getting correlation and causation mixed up. Marketers can use these kinds of tales to connect with their audience on a level making sure the data they're using doesn't just inform but also delights and entertains. All, who doesn't love a story, especially one thats a little quirky.
